BAKED
All albums available digitally: HERE
On their self-titled debut cassette, Baked tend to bury their tight pop hooks under vapor trails of reverb and deliver them with a general sense of apathy. The songs are cloaked in a dense, hazed atmosphere and often feel as if they’re echoing from another room, or another time. On the new, reissue-only track, “Wolf,” elastic and crunching guitars guide the song into it’s inevitable oblivion. Elsewhere, on the album’s ambling centerpiece, “8er,” lead singer RJ Gordon anchors everything with a freeform spoken word, while instruments simply float in and out before eventually chiming and bowing out . Baked’s five track introduction is a joyful cacophony, brilliantly varied in its tones and mood. Forged Artifacts is proud to give the collection a proper home both digitally and on limited edition chrome tape.

"When you allow yourself to never underestimate the power of garage-pop, it can do wonders for your emotional spirit and at times it will really surprise you. In the case of Brooklyn's Baked...there are heavy elements of rejuvenating, direct indiepop that lie beneath the uncrunched guitars." - Dayna Evans, IMPOSE
